今年的南非藝術文化團將從陶藝和街頭藝術兩個不同的創作媒介，深入了解當地文化歷史，開普敦蘊藏著多元的文化遺產，融合了非洲、歐洲和亞洲的獨特元素。本團將以藝術交流，生活經驗分享與生態體驗讓你找到生活的新靈感，並將之融入在旅程最後的藝術創作中。
陶藝課程將教授南非獨特的工藝傳統和技巧，例如拋光(Burnishing)，燻燒(Smoke Firing)，泥漿澆鑄(Slip Casting)等，參加者將製作數份藝術作品，優異作品更可在開普敦Rust-en-Vrede Gallery中展出。
街頭藝術課程將讓參加者體驗非洲強而有力的表演藝術文化，包括音樂和舞蹈，更會學習塗鴉藝術（graffiti），最後更可參加由IKhaya Le Langa主辦的 第9屆 ULTRA Street Art Competition，來參與這次難忘的藝術文化探險，開拓我們生活的視野，重拾創作的熱誠。
Experience the second edition of our artist residency tour, featuring an exciting addition: a street arts course. Immerse yourself in a vibrant cultural exchange, connect with local artists, and explore your creativity through pottery classes. Discover the richness of African ecology on eco-tours and visit the world's oldest botanical gardens. Gain insights from renowned curators in special workshops and exhibit your artwork at the prestigious Rust-en-Vrede Gallery. Join us for this unforgettable artistic adventure and expand your horizons.
Ceramic Course
Immerse yourself in the rich artistic heritage of South Africa. Siya will share stories and anecdotes about the cultural significance of clay art in South African history. Gain a deeper understanding of the art form's roots and its contemporary relevance. Learn various sculpting techniques, from pinch pots to coil building, and create unique clay masterpieces. Taking home your unique clay creations, which remind of your artistic journey in South Africa—proof of your newfound skills and creativity.
Course Including:
Learning Techniques: Ceramic Burnishing, Hand-building, Smoke firing.
Portion: Two Ceramics Vase (20*20cm), One Ceramics Sculpture (30*30cm)
*Outstanding work will be display in Rust-en-Vrede Gallery's Sculpture Garden
Graffiti Course
A 5-day program where you'll learn techniques, and artistic expressions of graffiti, teaching you the fundamentals of graffiti skills and design principles. You will have the chance to engage with local artists, learn about their inspirations and the stories behind their creations. Come and have hands-on experience in creating your own graffiti pieces and participate in an exciting graffiti competition to showcase your skills and creativity!
Course Including:
Learning Techniques: Graffiti from basic to master
Portion: Wall Space
*Entrance Qualification of 8th ULTRA Streetart competition.
African Drum & Dance workshop
Guided by skilled instructors who will teach you the art of playing traditional African drums. Feel the pulsating beats resonate through your body as you learn the techniques, rhythms, and patterns that form the heartbeat of African music. Learn the graceful movements, footwork, and vibrant choreography that accompany the root beats. Feel the joy and freedom as you connect with the spirit of African dance and let the music move you.
Amazing South African Art and Culture!
Museum Experience
Delve into the cultural significance of the artworks displayed in the Museum. Learn about the traditions, customs, and beliefs that have influenced South African art. Gain insights into the ways art reflects the nation's history, identity, and social dynamics. Having your chance to exhibit your own clay work in the one of a kind ceramic museum in Cape Town.

Culture - Ancient food cooking
'Prepare the water and add the fat'--- The ancient art of Mesopotamian cooking. Taste the ancient food recipes called 'Beets and Lamb' (YOS 11 25, recipe 15). Add salt, beer, shallots, arugula, coriander, onion, cumin and peeled beets. As relatively new topic in the field of Mesopotamian studies, ancient gastronomy has acquired new meaning and legitimacy because of the translation and publication of the Yale Babylonian Culinary tablets by Jean Bottero in 1987.
